Fan-Built Props and Sets at Celebration Europe
This July 26-28, when you walk into the Messe Essen for Star Wars Celebration Europe, you might feel like you are walking right into the galaxy far, far away.
Likely there will be fans in wonderful costumes everywhere you turn, and more than that, you’ll find yourself in the midst of fantastic sets and props that look like they came right out of the Star Wars universe. You can take your picture with Darth Vader’s TIE fighter, in the Millennium Falcon, by the Endor bunker with a speeder bike, and in even more locations.

Best of all, know that these props and sets were created by hand, by talented fans driven both by wanting to recreate accurately what they love in the Star Wars movies, and by the desire to produce an unforgettable experience for their fellow Star Wars fans.
Here is just a taste of the sets that are planned for Celebration Europe:
Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter from Michael Schramm of the 501st Garrison, from Burghaun, Germany. Schramm has been perfecting the TIE, recently adjusting the paint color so he feels it is just right. He is looking forward to sharing it with fans from many countries, especially as his native country of Germany is the host country for Celebration.
The AT-AT from the Belgian Garrison of the 501st Legion is a showstopper of a prop, and Stefan Cembolista and his fellow Belgian prop builders will be bringing her from the Brussels area over to Essen. Here, the AT-AT is set up at Celebration V in Orlando, Florida.
The Endor Bunker and speeder bike, also from the Belgian builders, will help us celebrate the 30th anniversary of Return of the Jedi.
Other Star Wars sets planned for Celebration are a huge Jabba’s palace display, a Hoth set with a snowspeeder and E-web cannon, the Millennium Falcon lounge, and more!
Don’t miss the fun at Celebration Europe.
